Biographical Information

Noreen’s initial experience was in pastoral care as she provided support and catechetics training to disadvantaged children in outlying areas of Wales. Her development continued as she worked in Personnel, Training and Management roles in various commercial enterprises. Her experience is broad although she has focused her work more on counselling and personal development for the last nine years. With experience in mental after care and family care environments, she has divided her energies between her private generic and bereavement counselling practice, and counsellor skills training for six years. Noreen is a member of Cruse Bereavement Care and was attached to the Dover Counselling Centre for two years as a Cruse Counsellor for which she became accredited in 1995.

Noreen is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and gained a BACP Skills Trainer Accreditation in 1998. She can be found in the current BACP UK Directory for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Believing it is important she lives by the philosophy and ideology she teaches, Noreen abides by the Code of Ethics & Practice for Trainers and Counsellors.

Noreen has an unmistakable belief in the Hay philosophy as a result of its powerful influence in her own life, and trained as a Louise Hay Teacher in 2000, under the direction of Patricia Crane PhD.

Noreen is eager to promote and foster a positive approach to the individual’s right to choice, personal development, self-determination and quality of life. While she continues to maintain her counsellor practice, she believes strongly in the power of group work, and through its energising and supportive process, is passionately committed to personal and global healing.
